ESSENTIAL OIL OVERVIEW: Frankincense essential oil comes from the resin of the majestic Boswellia Sacra tree. Anytime an oil comes from resin, it speaks to the blood…the blood of the plant, the blood of a creature. And you can truly ~feel~ it in the blood when you take a deep inhale of the oil…a rush of warmth moves thru the body. Warmth and strength and calm power. To me, this speaks to the richness and specialness of the oil and resin–a resin fit for a holy baby witch!

PLANT AT THE PARTY: Imagine Beyonce walking into your party…that’s Frankincense. Bold but calm. Cool but electric. Powerful but compassionate. Influential. Gets lunch with Cinnamon regularly. Gets nails done with Amber every few weeks. Will be friendly with all the plants but needs to get to know them first–no people-pleasing, lots of loving boundaries. They are very warm and WANT to get to know the other plants. They make a point of moving around the room throughout the evening, clinking drinks and getting curious and sharing words of encouragement and delight. Like the Queen of Wands, there is this pulsating electricity and vibrancy emanating from them. Like the Queen of Pentacles, there is this grounded self-worth and decadent vibe surrounding them.They are always wearing gold bangle bracelets and black sheaths or jumpsuits. Every once in awhile they arrive in a new fitted black outfit that is fierce and different, inspiring the other plants to try out new outfits themselves the following days. A true iconic party plant!
FRANKINCENSE AND THE HOLY FAM: Here is a sweet holy fam fanfic snippet inspired by Frankincense for your reading pleasure:
“I feel blah,” Mary Mag says to no one in particular as she collapses onto her bed. Just as she makes the decision to microwave some popcorn and watch reruns of Veronica Mars all night, Jesus, their BFF, arrives with their classic loud "HEY BITCH!".
“GET UP WE ARE GOING OUT!” Jesus struts straight to Mary Mag’s closet and starts pulling out some of her fav black pieces.
“UGHHHHH J I was just about to be a slug for the night. Hey, careful! You better pick all of this up.”
~Ignoring her~ “I just got this new frankincense perfume and I sprayed it all over my cute body and it told me we needed to GET HOT and GO OUT. So that’s what we are doing.”
And that’s what they did, because what J says usually goes. Mary Mag revived her fav sheer snakeskin crop top, paired it with a high-waisted cow print miniskirt, and chose a shade called “Sangria Sunday” for their lips.
Jesus went with one of Mary Mag’s straight black sleeveless sheaths, pairing it with their own white cowgirl boots and their classic long gold chained cross. Then Mary Mag spent some time perfecting a metallic shadow smoky eye for them.
The finishing touch? Jesus sprayed the Frankincense perfume into Mary Mag’s dark curls, giving her a little texture (not to mention redolence) with their hands.
The holy witches looked hot. And iconic. And they went out.
